4th National Mars Science Seminar (2022)

The 4th National Mars Science Seminar will be held on October 28th, 2022 in Krakow as a hybrid event. Registration will be open on August 8th, 2022. The 4NMSS will consist of 2 parts: a scientific session (oral and poster presentations) and a workshop session titled “Aeolian processes in space exploration – perspectives”.

Deadline for abstracts submission – September 30th, 2022

Program and schedule will be available on October 6th, 2022

Guest Registration will be open up to October 15th, 2022

The official language of the seminar is English.

Aim of the seminar

  • To present achievements of Polish scientists
  • To integrate the Polish community of Mars scientists
  • To develop planetary and space science in Poland

Scope

Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:

  • estimation of Mars orbital parameters and global properties of the planet
  • nearest cosmic neighborhood of Mars
  • study of Mars planetary spheres: magnetospheres, ionospheres, atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere, and the interior of the planet

including research results based on:

  • data from current and past Mars missions
  • new research methods and tools for future Mars exploration
  • theoretical modeling and numerical simulations in Mars studies
  • laboratory simulations and studies of Mars analogs
